Last lesson was after Yaniv teached my group and I got to understand details of pupils behavior after reading his blog.
1. They were quiet as fish and behaived like the physics lesson is something they are living for.
With one exeption: Michal was copiing math homework to the next lesson .
2. They remembered that C of water is 4200, but didnt that boiling point is 100 C. Than I read at Yaniv blog that he explicitly told them last lesson that water C is 4200. Its interesting from memory point . Children learn a lot of unrelated subjects without any consistency. Even math and physics are not connected. Its better to be changed, but this is reality. The lesson for me is that first 10 minutes allways should be spent on repeating shortly last lesson and explicitly defining what the lesson scope including writing the header on board.
3. First time Nati actively learned at my lesson for full hour. May be its because of Yaniv or just miracle. Anyway its a good idea that students may choose from 2-3 teachers, because we are basically different .
4. With Yorams help and time passing I am starting to get importance of structured lessons with
limited scope. We all hate new things. New is difficult. Its difficult for students too. So everything new should be moved in slowly and gradually with repetitions .
5. At the end of the lesson (when all were tired) discussion erupted about professional and economic future. They are so terrified. Probably I will make a full lesson to disscuss this issue.
lesson text to exam is perfect.
